This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. Robinette Broadhead is a dull, histrionic main character and this book contains waaaay too much lecturing and philosophizing.
No, not everyone dies in the end but I prefer to not spoil it here. Como comente anteriormente, se torna emotivo en algunos pasajes. Other parts seemed like paste-ups of unused background material Pohl might have developed while writing the earlier novels. Too much of this book is rehashing things that have already happened in the three prior Heechee novels, albeit from newly expanded perspectives.

Overall it was interesting to continue the story, but it all felt like it was over-hyped without actually enough substance in plot events behind the significance given to them by the narrative. This book takes us deeper into the idea of ‘the foe’ and who they are.
